Why we built this
We were the tenants.
Six of us rented a house in San Francisco. We thought it would be simple — find a place, split the costs, move on. Instead, we spent two weeks messaging strangers who never responded, chasing landlords who wanted references we didn't have, and signing a lease that felt like a guess.
Nobody knew who to trust. The landlord didn't know us. We didn't know them. The whole thing ran on faith and crossed fingers.
That frustration became a question we couldn't drop: why does something this important still work this badly?
Livva is what we built. Intelligent agents that handle the hard work — matching, messaging, coordinating — so both sides can focus on the part that actually matters: finding a place that feels like home.
We made it free for renters. Because charging rent to people looking for rent just feels wrong. Our goal isn't recurring revenue. It's recurring trust.
“Charging rent to people looking for rent just feels wrong.”
Data becomes trust. Trust becomes home.
